Great Idea
I've never tried an art journal and this looked like a lot of fun. The author gave ideas to express various emotions and help us process are feelings in life. The idea was that by various artistic expressions we would be able to get our feelings out. I liked this concept and feel that art plays a big part in our life's expressions.
A Creative Way to Unwind
I bought this looking for something relaxing to do away from screens, and it ended up being a great fit. The guided exercises are simple to follow and gave me a chance to slow down and focus on my thoughts without feeling pressured to be "good at art."
Real healing in small steps
As someone who struggles to sit still and meditate, this art journal was a lifesaver. Turning my thoughts into simple drawings helps me process things so much better. The author has over ten years of experience and you can totally tell by the way she writes. She is so encouraging. The prompts are clever and helped me realize things about my stress triggers that I never noticed before. A truly wonderful and creative book.
